Status Barang
Kami hanya menjual barang Original dan kondisi baru dan tidak menjual produk ilegal seperti E-Book, bajakan bookpaper dan sebagainya. Kami tidak akan buang waktu menjawab pertanyaan yang menyangkut hal ini.
Segel/Plastik
Secara umum, yang kami setujui sebagai segel plastik adalah kondisi plastik yang masih mencegah buku dapat dibuka dan dibaca isinya. Bukan plastik yang tertutup rapat tanpa robek atau tanpa lubang dan kedap air.
Tidak semua penerbit/supplier menyegel buku dengan plastik. Hal ini penting dalam memahami kondisi buku yang dijelaskan di bawah.
Kami dapat menyegel atau menambah atau mengganti plastik jika kami nilai perlu sebelum buku dikirim. Tapi perlu diketahui juga bahwa plastik buku dapat terbuka/pecah/robek akibat tekanan barang lain (ditindih), dilempar/dibanting kurir selama pengiriman.
PO / Ready / Kosong
Kami adalah toko buku import, dimana mayoritas pengadaanya adalah sesuai dengan pesanan yang masuk. Untuk produk yang kami import tanpa pesanan, akan berstatus ready untuk siap kirim.
Status buku walaupun dapat di import saat pemesanaan, bisa tidak update atau ada update terbaru yang membuat status stok buku di publisher/supplier menjadi kosong/sold out. Jika terjadi, kami akan mengembalikan dana sesuai dengan nominal harga buku tersebut.
Lama Proses Import
Mayoritas lama PO kami tentukan 30-90 hari. Total waktu tersebut memperhitungkan berbagai masalah seperti adanya delay atau buku yang tiba dalam keadaan rusak parah dan harus retur dan import ulang, dan sebagainya.
Buku yang sudah tiba akan segera dikirim sesuai dengan kelengkapan order tanpa menunggu waktu PO habis.
Pengiriman
Penyerahan barang pada kurir akan dilakukan secepatnya dan tergantung cuaca atau keadaan lainnya. Kecuali kiriman sameday/instant, nomor resi akan diberikan sesuai kurir yang digunakan. Status pesanan dianggap telah dikirim ketika sudah ada nomor resi kiriman lokal. Jika belum ada, berarti statusnya masih dalam proses import. Tidak perlu tanya sudah sampai mana ataupun kapan akan tiba jika anda tidak membayar pengiriman ekpress sesuai dengan penjelasan sebelumnya.
Kami mengirimkan paket dalam bubble wrap tebal. Penggunaan dus hanya untuk pengiriman khusus yang dinilai perlu.
Resiko Pengiriman Barang
Pengiriman import maupun lokal 100% memiliki resiko kotor, rusak pada cover / sampul / isi / kotak / box. Hal ini diluar kuasa kami dan tidak bisa dikembalikan. Mohon pengertiannya bahwa buku lebih mirip sayur dan buah, bisa datang dalam kondisi tidak mulus, termakan usia, rusak sejak penyimpanan dan pengiriman dan tidak bisa disamakan dengan produk yang dibuat dengan teknologi presisi seperti smartphone, TV.
Hak penilaian kerusakan secara mutlak dan penuh dipegang oleh kami, dan bukan customer.
Jika kerusakan kami nilai kecil/wajar, kami akan mengirim buku apa adanya sesuai bagaimana buku tiba/dikirim dari penerbit/supplier. Kerusakan kecil yang mungkin terjadi adalah berupa adanya bekas lipatan, ada bekas benturan/penyok kecil, ada lecet atau terkelupas, ada bekas gesekan/kotor (biasanya terjadi karena pengambilan buku dengan cara diseret bukan diangkat), ada robek kecil, dan sebagainya.
Kualitas print/cetakan seperti buram atau berbayang tidak dianggap sebagai kerusakan (jika masih dapat kami baca dengan baik). Kualitas print yang rendah seperti ini, sekalipun jarang, dapat ditemukan pada buku jenis paperback atau paperback kecil (MMP) dan murah, sekalipun buku tersebut asli/original.
Dalam kasus tertentu, ada kerusakan yang bisa kami bantu seperti cacat cetakan/print di dalam berupa cetakan/print yang terpotong, cetakan terbalik, atau ada halaman yang hilang dimana nomor halaman loncat. Silakan infokan untuk kasus seperti ini secepatnya dalam 1×24 jam.
Untuk kasus dimana barang yang dipesan adalah tipe set buku dalam box dan boxnya rusak. Ada 4 hal yang perlu dipertimbangkan. Pertama, klaim kerusakan sangat bergantung pada persetujuan penerbit/supplier dan klaim dapat ditolak jika pihak penerbit/supplier menilai kerusakan minim/wajar. Kedua, jika disetujui klaimnya, gantinya 100% uang, bukan barang/kotak/bagian yang rusak. Ketiga, nominal angka ganti rugi dikeluarkan oleh pihak mereka. Tidak bisa minta dapatnya berapa. Keempat. Tidak perlu ngejar kapan ditransfer. Transaksi internasional butuh waktu lebih lama. Kompensasi kerusakan HANYA akan ditransfer jika pihak supplier/penerbit sudah mengirimkan uangnya.
Perbedaan Sampul Buku dan Informasi Produk Yang Ditampilkan
Secara umum, data yang bisa dipastikan sama hanyalah ISBN. Diluar ISBN, tidak ada jaminan datanya akurat. Kami menyarankan untuk tidak order berdasarkan data acuan selain ISBN (ukuran, berat, dll).
Penjelasannya seperti ini:
Data yang ditampilkan merupakan input dari seseorang yang rentan akan kesalahan (human error) sekalipun penerbit. Terutama jika menggunakan duplikasi/copy paste dimana data dari produk sebelumnya lupa di edit/di hapus. Hal ini sering terjadi pada ukuran, berat, dan jumlah halaman.
Gambar sampul buku juga dapat berbeda dari yang ditampilkan. Cover/Sampul buku hanya poster atau ilustrasi dan tidak dapat menjadi acuan barang yang diterima akan sama persis gambarnya. Selain karena human error/kesalahan manusia yang salah input, penerbit juga dapat menerbitkan varian baru maupun mengganti gambar sampul sepenuhnya tanpa pemberitahuan. Warna sampul yang berbeda dari yang ditampilkan juga bisa karena poster yang ditampilkan sudah diedit/dipertajam/dipercantik. Oleh karena itu kami tidak pernah menjual cover tapi buku itu sendiri apa adanya sesuai dari penerbit.
Dan karena tidak ada jaminan mengenai gambar sampul. Jika anda memesan 10 buku yang sama, penerbit bisa saja “buang barang lama” dimana sebagian, misal 4 buku yang Anda terima masih menggunakan gambar sampul lama, dan 6 buku lainnya sudah menggunakan gambar sampul yang baru.

Semua hal ini diluar kuasa kami. Pertimbangkan hal ini sebelum order. Kami tidak akan merespon customer yang meminta kepastian gambar sampul.
Kondisi Buku
Buku Menguning / Foxing
Pada beberapa buku, kadang muncul bercak kekuningan, biasanya disebut foxing. Buku yang menguning bukan berarti buku tersebut buku bekas. Ada banyak faktor yang membuat buku menguning. Tipe kualitas cetakan cover seperti MMP (Mass Market Paperback) adalah tipe cetakan termurah dengan kualitas terendah sehingga buku cepat menguning dibandingkan dengan tipe paperback atau hardcover. Sinar tempat penyimpanan buku juga mempengaruhi. Buku yang terkena matahari/lampu ruangan berfloruorensi akan mempercepat penguningan buku. Adanya faktor rendah kadar oksigen/oksidasi/kelembapan di ruangan serta tersegel plastik / kedap udara sejak penerbitan, dapat menurunkan resiko penguningan buku. Tapi tidak semua buku langsung disegel sesaat setelah dicetak oleh penerbit, atau baru disegel setelah beberapa waktu setelah buku terbit. Sehingga seringkali buku yang disegel sudah tampak menguning, walaupun statusnya baru. Robekan pada segel plastik juga membuat buku dapat menguning. Sekalipun kami akan menyegel buku yang kami terima, bisa saja proses penguningan telah terjadi karena faktor yang telah dijelaskan di atas.
Potongan Kertas Tidak Rapih / Deckled Edges
Kemungkinan buku tersebut adalah tipe deckled edges book (bisa coba google image) dimana potongan kertas pada tepi buku bergelombang/bergerigi dan tidak terlihat rapih. Deckled edges merupakan desain yang memang disengaja oleh penerbit di tahun modern untuk meniru bagaimana buku terbit ratusan tahun lalu. Banyak peminatnya diluar karena memberi kesan artistik dan kuno tapi jarang dan kurang diketahui di Indonesia. Sehingga umumnya penerima buku kaget dan mengira bajakan. Sayangnya info buku deckled edges atau tidak, tidak ada dalam informasi produk. Hanya bisa tahu setelah barang tiba atau melihat foto buku fisiknya di internet.
Tidak Akan Mulus 100%
Kami meyakini tidak ada buku mulus 100% dimana kalau mau dicari jelek atau ketidakrapihannya dari sebuah buku pasti ada aja yang ditemukan. Entah ada bekas benturan, lem tidak rapih, terkelupas kecil, goresan, kotor, terlipat, dan sebagainya yang mungkin untuk mayoritas orang tidak masalah, tapi jika Anda butuh kondisi 100% tanpa cela, Anda bisa coba cari di toko lain.
Atas dasar semua resiko di atas, kami tidak menjamin barang akan tiba dalam kondisi putih, bersih, mulus, baik pengiriman import maupun lokal. Tidak peduli berapa pun harganya. Barang kemungkinan tiba dalam kondisi lecek, baret, cacat, penyok, terkelupas, kotor, terlipat, menguning, dll. Barang akan dikirim sesuai kondisi apa adanya dan tidak bisa dikembalikan. Ini transparansi yang sudah kami sampaikan. Jika tidak dapat menerima resiko dan keadaan tersebut, Anda dapat belanja di tempat lain. Memesan berarti setuju dan paham resiko yang sudah dijelaskan. Item Status
We only sell original copy and new condition and not selling any illegal product such as E-book or pirated copy such as bookpaper, etc. We will not waste our time answering question regarding these things.
Seal/Plastic
Generally, what we consider as a plastic seal is a condition where the plastic prevents the book from being opened and its content read. It is not a tightly sealed plastic without tears, holes, and air or water resistance.
Not all publishers/suppliers seal books with plastic. This is important to understand the condition of the book as described below.
We can seal, add, or replace plastic if we deem it necessary before the book is shipped. However, it should also be noted that the plastic covering the book may open, break, or tear due to pressure from other items (being stacked), or if it is thrown or handled roughly by the courier during delivery.
PO / Ready / Sold Out
We are an import bookstore where the majority of the items are based on incoming orders. For products that we import without specific orders, they will be marked as ready for immediate shipment.
The status of books, even if they can be imported upon ordering, may not be up-to-date or there may be recent updates that result in the book being out of stock or sold out at the publisher/supplier. If this occurs, we will refund the amount corresponding to the price of the book.
Import Process Duration
We decided that the majority of our purchase order (PO) are set between 30-90 days. This total duration takes into account various issues such as delays or books arriving in severely damaged conditions requiring return and re-importation, among others.
Books that have already arrived will be promptly shipped according to the completeness of the order without waiting for the PO duration to expire.
Shipment
Delivery to the courier will be done as soon as possible and depending on the weather or other conditions. Except for same-day/instant shipments, the tracking number will be provided according to the courier used. The order status is considered as “shipped” once there is a local tracking number. If there is no tracking number yet, it means the status is still in the import process. There is no need to inquire about the delivery progress or when it will arrive if you did not pay for express shipping as explained earlier.
We package the parcels in thick bubble wrap. The use of a box is only when we deemed necessary.
Risk of Goods
Imported and local shipments are 100% subject to the risk of being dirty or damaged, including the cover, content, box, or packaging. This is beyond our control and cannot be returned. We kindly request your understanding that books are more akin to perishable items like fruits and vegetables. They can arrive in less than perfect condition, affected by age, and can sustain damage during storage and transportation. Books cannot be equated to precision-engineered products like smartphones or TVs.
The absolute and full authority to assess damages rests with us, and not the customer.
If we deem the damage to be minor or reasonable, we will send the books as they arrived or were delivered from the publisher/supplier. Minor damages may include fold marks, small dents or creases, scratches or peeling, friction marks or dirt (often caused by dragging the book instead of lifting it), small tears, and so on.
Print quality issues such as blurriness or shadowing are not considered as damage (if the text remains legible). Such lower print quality, albeit rare, can be found in certain types of paperback books or smaller mass-market paperbacks (MMP), even if they are genuine/original books.
In certain cases, we can assist with specific damages such as print defects inside the book, such as cut-off prints, inverted prints, or missing pages where the page numbering jumps. Please inform us about such cases within 24 hours.
Regarding cases where the ordered item is a book set in a box, and the box is damaged, there are four important considerations. First, damage claims heavily rely on the approval of the publisher/supplier, and claims can be rejected if they consider the damage to be minimal or reasonable. Second, if the claim is approved, the compensation will be 100% in the form of money, not replacement of the damaged item/box/parts. Third, the compensation amount will be determined by them. We cannot request a specific amount. Fourth, there is no need to chase the transfer timeline. International transactions take longer. Compensation for damages will ONLY be transferred once the supplier/publisher has sent the funds.
Difference Between Book Cover and Product Information Displayed
In general, the only data that can be guaranteed to be the same is the ISBN. Outside of the ISBN, there is no guarantee of data accuracy. We strongly advise against placing orders based on other reference data (size, weigth, etc) other than the ISBN.
Here’s an explanation:
The displayed data is inputted by individuals and is susceptible to errors (human error), including those made by publishers. This is especially true when using duplication or copy-pasting, where data from previous products may have been forgotten to be edited or deleted. This often occurs with regards to size, weight, and page count.
Book cover images can also differ from what is displayed. Book covers are merely posters or illustrations and cannot be used as a reference for the exact appearance of the received item. Apart from potential human errors in inputting data, publishers can also release new variants or completely change the cover image without prior notification. Differences in cover colors compared to what is displayed can also occur due to editing or enhancement of the displayed poster. Therefore, we never sell the cover itself but the book as it is, according to the publisher.
Due to the lack of guarantee regarding cover images, if you order 10 identical books, the publisher may “dispose of old stock,” resulting in you receiving, for example, 4 books that still have the old cover image while the other 6 books have the new cover image.

All of these circumstances are beyond our control. Please consider this before placing an order. We will not respond to customers who seek assurance regarding cover images.
Book Condition
Book Yellowing / Foxing
In some books, yellowish spots may appear, commonly known as foxing. It’s important to note that yellowing does not necessarily indicate that the book is used or secondhand. There are several factors that can cause book yellowing. The type and quality of the cover printing, such as Mass Market Paperback (MMP), which is the cheapest type of printing with the lowest quality, can cause books to yellow more quickly compared to paperback or hardcover books. The exposure to sunlight or fluorescent lighting in the storage area can also accelerate book yellowing. Factors such as low oxygen levels, oxidation, humidity in the room, and being sealed in plastic or airtight packaging since publication can reduce the risk of book yellowing. However, not all books are immediately sealed right after being printed by the publisher, or they may be sealed after some time following the book’s release. Therefore, often books that are sealed may already exhibit yellowing, even if they are considered new. Tears or openings in the plastic seal can also contribute to book yellowing. While we will seal the books we receive, it’s possible that yellowing may have occurred due to the factors mentioned above.
Uneven Paper Edges / Deckled Edges
It’s possible that the book in question is a type of deckled edges book (you can try searching for images on Google) where the paper edges have a wavy or jagged appearance and may not look neat. Deckled edges are a deliberate design choice made by publishers in modern times to replicate the look of books published centuries ago. They have gained popularity among enthusiasts as they provide an artistic and vintage impression. However, they are relatively rare and less known in Indonesia, so book recipients are often surprised and may mistakenly think they are pirated copies. Unfortunately, information about whether a book has deckled edges or not is not included in the product information. It can only be determined upon receiving the book or by viewing physical book photos online.
Will Not Be 100% Flawless
We believe that there are no books that are 100% flawless because if you look closely, there will always be imperfections or signs of flaw. Whether it’s a small dent, uneven glue, minor peeling, scratches, dirt, or folds, these imperfections may not be an issue for most people. However, if you require a book in a 100% pristine condition without any flaws, we suggest looking for it in another store.
Based on all the risks mentioned above, we cannot guarantee that the item will arrive in a pristine, clean, and flawless condition, regardless of its price. There is a possibility that the item may arrive with creases, scratches, defects, dents, peeling, dirt, folds, discoloration, etc. The item will be shipped as is and cannot be returned. This transparency has been conveyed to you. If you cannot accept these risks and conditions, we suggest shopping at elsewhere.
